On October 14, 2021, Assistant Foreign Minister Wu Jianghao attended the National Day and Armed Forces Day Reception of the Republic of Korea (ROK) hosted by the ROK Ambassador to China Jang Ha-sung.
Wu Jianghao said that in the past 29 years since the establishment of China-ROK diplomatic ties, there had been significant progress in bilateral relations, bringing great benefits to the two peoples and making a positive contribution to regional and world peace and prosperity. China stands ready to work with the ROK to enhance communication, strengthen mutual trust, deepen cooperation, consolidate friendship, and push for greater progress in bilateral relations.
Jang Ha-sung extended his congratulations on the 100th anniversary of the founding of the Communist Party of China and the 110th anniversary of the 1911 Revolution. He said that ROK-China relations are vibrant and serve the common interests of both sides. 2021 and 2022 mark the China-ROK Year of Cultural Exchanges and 2022 marks the 30th anniversary of the establishment of China-ROK diplomatic ties. The ROK is willing to take this opportunity to work with China for the elevation of bilateral relations.
